SUPERVISION AND CONSULTATION

I am available for private supervision and consultation.  I currently have openings in a supervision group which meets biweekly at my 25th St. office on alternate Wednesdays from 11am to 12:30pm.  I am also in the process of forming a new group to meet in Brooklyn.

My approach to supervision is to focus on enabling the therapist to develop and appreciate his or her own unique style.  In group supervision the group members are encouraged to discuss any issues that pertain to the work including business and emotional as well as clinical.

My theoretical orientation is Relational and I have been strongly influenced by the Modern Psychoanalytic school, particularly as it pertains to technique.  However, I am not orthodox and believe that psychoanalytic theory is a fluid and highly personal approach - that there is not one "right" way. 

My supervision fee is negotiated on an individual basis.
