PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
I worked for six years at South Beach Psychiatric Center, Mapleton Outpatient division. In this setting, I worked with a variety of patients including those with severe mental illness. This work gave me a solid grounding and comfort with all sorts of people and an appreciation of the strengths that even very ill people can demonstrate.
Since 1980, I have been in private practice with adults in individual, group and couples therapy.
I have taught and trained other therapists at a variety of training centers including: the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center where I currently serve on the Executive Committee, Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, and the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy.
